IPA Steel Terminal throughout these ten years, has been a terminal dedicated mainly in the handling of steel products and since its inception of operations thanks to the support and trust of our customers, managed to consolidate as a terminal specialized in the steel sector.

Currently, it handles a volume of 2 million tons annually of different types of rolls of galvanized steel, cold rolled and hot rolled, actively participating in the automotive sector, which grows in Mexico at 50% each year. IPA is an important part of the supply chain of raw materials and stamps for Chrysler, GM, Nissan, Kia, Hyundai among others.

All this is thanks to the installed capacity inside the terminal, which in its surface 80,000m2 as a FISCALIZED ENCLOSURE, has a double spur of FFCC with a capacity of up to 30 units, two covered warehouses with 11,000m2, which together with the strength driving fleet of more than 30 forklifts, manage to unload more than 25 thousand tons of steel rolls in only 24 hrs. And the 160,000 m2 of surface in ATEMSA, of which, 121,0000 m2 function as a National Warehouse and Fiscal Deposit, of which in the future they will also develop as a Fiscalized Enclosure, counting with a warehouse of 4,000m2 and another spur of FFCC with a capacity of 30 units.

IPA also participates actively in the project cargo sector, this is an articulated and complex sector that refers to the transport of certain goods that are characterized by their size, weight and complexity. This type of cargo implies integral and customized solutions in the logistics chain from the origin to the destination and requires a special management and transport system.

The port terminal is capable of unloading up to 25,000 metric tons of steel coils in 24 hours.

Wind Towers

Since 2013, STEEL TERMINAL has been the main port of entry along the east coast of Mexico for steel products and several wind farm projects, managing more than 1,800 complete wind towers for Gamesa, General Electric, Vestas and Acciona.

Thanks to the support and trust that our customers have placed, STEEL TERMINAL has handled more than 12 million tons of cargo since its beginning on April 2, 2009 until December 2018, IPA has also participated in three large gas pipeline projects moving more 1,500 km of specialized coated pipe.
